The Power of Eckhart

 
I couldn't resist posting about my sister's recently published book. She's done a great job of writing about her recovery from depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. If you're interested you can read the blurb on Amazon by clicking here.
 
 
Above is a picture of a beautiful owl (I think it is a Boobook) that spent a few days in one of our trees this week. It's not a common occurrence to spot an owl so it was such a thrill to discover one in our own garden.
 
It has been perfect beach weather of late and I've been making the most of it. Below are some snaps I took last week. It is Australia Day tomorrow and with the forecast being in the high 30s Celsius it will be the perfect place to celebrate. 
 
 Not a lot happening on the art front just lately as I focus heavily on finishing my own book.

  4. Wendy - I would love to read your sister's book - will certainly check out Amazon when I get an opportunity. Love your warm photos and your owl is awesome. I hear one once and awhile in the summer but never have spotted them. So glad you shared. Take care and have a great week.

    The owl is special. Almost a spiritual feeling when you are the one chosen to visit.

No wonder you've been doing other things besides painting, it's SUMMER where you are and that's reason enough, or at least it would be for me!! how exciting to spot the owl in your tree, and I love what you did with the acrylic painting from the two photos of your beach. Also so exciting to have your sister's book published! Congrats to her and to you for the one you're working on too. so impressed by that, and look forward to hearing more about it when you are ready.
