A Visitor to our Garden

                                          Acrylic on board 15cm x 15cm (6" x 6")

I painted this over three separate days this week and I also spent a few hours on my writing. Not as much as I would have liked, but there was a lot going on in other arenas so it couldn't be helped.

  1. You should definitely be happy about this, so sweet and well done, love this painting ! I have a photo that I shot of a hedgehog that was very similar to this kitten...just peeping through the leaves :-)

  2. Thanks so much Jane! Was the hedgehog in your garden? And was it in Italy or Denmark? I always think of England when I think of hedgehogs! They are such gorgeous little creatures!

    1. Thanks so much Katherine! I still have a long way to go with the book I am writing but I'm enjoying the journey. I'm glad you like the look of my sister's book - I think she's done a great job with it.
I love what you did with your latest commission Katherine - you are amazing!

  4. Hi Wendy, what a lovely painting! You painted the facial expression of the cat very well. It's obvious he's spotted something, maybe a bird. The eyes are great! Have a nice Sunday and good luck with your writing!

    1. Thanks Hilje! I think he'd spotted us! My daughter and I went to say hello when we saw him in the garden. I'd only met him once before! I'm glad you mentioned the eyes, I was very happy with how they turned out. I love your latest painting!!

    1. G'day Michael, thanks so much!!
I'm looking forward to seeing the hippy poster. I don't know who the famous Aussie could be!? Glad to hear you were visiting the museum again! Puts me to shame - I should make the effort to visit our own art gallery - haven't been in years!
I hope you are in the throes of a new ocean painting as I write!!
      Your art Cobber,

      Hello Wendy!
I have been on holiday. A cruise in the Western Caribbean. No internet access. Did a bit of painting. Mostly celebrating Boston Red Sox World Series win! So very happy! Anyway I will soon be posting some photos from the trip and some watercolors. I also will be posting the Australian Hippy Poster. (Oh, on the trip, stopped at Curacao to see some Emus on an Ostrich farm. Learned the Emus were from Australia! Of course I thought of you buddy, cobber!
Glad to be back on line! Now to check out your latest art work!

    1. Thanks Laura! I'm pretty sure the cat was looking at my daughter when I took the shot. Although, it certainly looks like he's just spotted lunch!
