Day 20 - Mother of Pearl

Acrylic on board - palette knife 16cm x 16cm

I actually did this one last night as I knew I wouldn't have a free moment to paint today.
I apologise for being behind on responding to comments, life has been a bit hectic these past few days. I so appreciate all the interest and encouragement I have been receiving from everyone - thank you!
I'm not sure what I plan to do for the final third of the challenge. I will decide tomorrow.

  1. Very soothing combination of colors. I'm not really into abstracts but you seem to be doing well with them.

    1. Thanks Joan, I'm not overly into abstracts myself, but I have been curious about trying them for a while and have enjoyed myself in the process.

  3. I LOVE mother-of-pearl. I can remember when very, very young being fascinated by the pale pinks turning into subtle blues on my mothers watch face. Still live it to this day so your painting hit the spot for me.
Are you getting tired of the pressure by now?

    1. Yes, Julie I have been tired of the pressure since the first few days into the challenge! Even more so now. However, I feel I am really stretching myself and trying different things so it has been worth all the effort! Thanks for your lovely comments!
