Acrylic on board 6" x 6"
I find that I really enjoy the challenge of painting china and shiny things. I painted this over the course of three days and spent about seven hours on it. If I ever hope to offer my work for sale, I need to learn to loosen things up a bit.
Hi Wendy!
ReplyDeleteThis is simply lovely...you will loosen up the more you paint, but really ....this one is beautiful!
Hi Sally, Thanks so much for your admiring comments and the encouragement. The loosening up is something that is very hit and miss for me, I'm sure you are right that it comes with practice. Your lovely paintings are a testament to that! You make it look effortless.
DeleteThis is so pretty, Wendy! I love your soft reflections. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Darla, I'm so pleased you commented on the reflections as it's the first time I've attempted them in a still-life. I had admired them in other people's work but wasn't sure what surface they were setting up their pieces on. Then it occurred to me to use a canvas covered board still in its plastic wrapping - perfect!
DeleteThis is really lovely Wendy, I actually thought it would have taken longer, so many exquisite details !
ReplyDeleteHi Jane,
